There are moments in your career when you meet people who feel instantly aligned with everything you care about. People who bring energy and honesty and a sense of possibility. That is exactly how it felt when I first met Katy Goobler. We were both knee deep in nurturing students supporting their first steps into the world of data and trying to spark that curiosity that makes learning joyful. We were both driven by the same thing. Guiding people to grow, gain confidence, and recognise their own potential.
Fast forward to today and Katy is co founder of Rebel Hive alongside the brilliant and equally magnetic Becks Herbert. And honestly Rebel Hive is one of the most exciting new offerings I have seen in a long time. At Omniadigital we are genuinely thrilled to be partnering with them because what they do is exactly what organisations need right now. Not an overload of features, but a clearing of the clutter. Clarity, communication and a way to bring people back together around a shared purpose.
Rebel Hive was born from lived experience. Katy and Becks met years ago as investigators in the Independent Office of Police Conduct. They were thrown into high pressure work where communication was key, trust was necessary and the ability to navigate complexity mattered. They discovered they had a rare chemistry. They thought differently but complemented each other perfectly. They challenged each other in the right ways. They cared deeply about people and culture. And they both had a natural instinct for bringing teams together.

Over the years they moved into different roles. Katy into knowledge and information management and analytics. Becks into organisational design and people and culture. They both saw the same patterns. Teams working in silos. Processes unclear. Meetings that drained energy instead of creating momentum. People firefighting instead of collaborating. Leaders struggling to articulate value. And a growing gap between business and data teams that created friction and unnecessary cost.
They also saw something else. When people had the space to talk openly. When someone neutral facilitated the conversation. When purpose was clear. When relationships were repaired. Everything changed. Work became lighter. Decisions became easier. Teams became healthier. And transformation actually stuck.
That is the heart of Rebel Hive.
The name itself is beautiful. Rebel is about positive disruption. Asking why. Challenging assumptions. Being curious. Hive is about community and purpose. As Katy says so perfectly “the queen bee is not a person its a purpose”. It is such a powerful way to think about organisations. Not hierarchy or ego. Just your purpose. Rebel Hive helps teams reconnect with that purpose. They help people understand the space between teams where the real problems and the real opportunities live. They bring together behavioural science organisational psychology systems thinking and years of lived experience. They create a safe space where people can talk honestly about what is working and what is not.
They help teams rebuild trust. They coach leaders to articulate value and support organisations move forward with clarity. And they do it with warmth generosity and a genuine desire to help people thrive. At Omniadigital this is exactly the kind of partnership we love. We help organisations unlock value through data strategy governance and transformation. Rebel Hive helps them unlock the human side. Together we can support our clients end to end. From purpose to people to process to data to delivery.
What I admire most about Katy and Becks is that they are not just experts. They are curious and resilient learners and open about their journey. Katy has just completed her MBA while working full time being a mum and running a household that includes a cacophony of chickens. She is already planning her doctorate. She is the definition of continuous learning in action. And Becks brings a depth of organisational design experience that is rare and refreshing.
Rebel Hive is not just a business. It is a movement. A mindset. A way of working that puts people first always. And I cannot wait to see the impact they will have.
If you want to build healthier teams stronger relationships and a more connected organisation Rebel Hive is the partner you want in the room. And we are so proud to be on this journey with them. 🐝
